Since high school, I graduated from Northwestern University in Illinois with a BS in Civil Engineering, and after many rejection letters finally got a job selling refractories (steel furnace linings) for a company in Chicago.

While having my wisdom teeth out in May of 1975, I met Julie, and married her in 1978 after she finished getting her Nursing degree. Lived in the South suburbs of Chicago and gradually became the product manager for a product called Abresist, a wear resistant material made from rocks.  

Ryan, our son, was born in 1982, just before my job moved to North Manchester, Indiana at the end of the year. Have been here ever since, 26 1/2 years, and have been President of Abresist Corporation for more than 15 years. The company is owned by a German company and has provided some interesting travel. Business is mainly with heavy industry.

Ryan got his BS in Chemical Engineering from U of Rochester, in NY, in 2006, got married 4 weeks later and works for Xerox.

Our town has about 6,500 people, almost the same as when we moved here. It is one of those places where you are definitely not anonymous after a few years. 1 grocery store, no Walmart, but world famous home of Mr. Dave's breaded tenderloin sandwiches!

Love to read, especially history and good fiction. Play some bad golf occasionally, and ride my bike when time allows, but it is not enough as I have put on 40 pounds since 1969. But, I still have my hair!

I still stay in touch with Jay Calhoun and Ed Albertson (Saw Ed and Beth last week). Looking forward to the Reunion to see how the rest of you are doing.
